One can’t help but wonder if the primary reason for not taking the revised rules to hearings on neighbor islands is that the PLDC – and its director – have had their fill of the rough reception they received across the state.

A furious public reaction has brought attention to Act 55, a law that bypasses many regulations for developing public lands. It’s vague, open-ended, and may vest too much power in the governor.
