A 24-year-old Maui man was airlifted to safety on Sunday after becoming lost and spending the night in the mountains above the Kaheawa Wind Farm in Māʻalaea.

A man was airlifted out of Kaihalulu Bay in the east Maui town of Hāna after falling from a trail on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015. The incident was reported shortly before 12 p.m. in the area often referred to as “Red Sand Beach.”
