Maui police issued a reminder today that all Maui County residents and businesses with an existing alarm must register by Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016 to avoid a fine.
Maui False Alarm Reduction Program Aims to Curb “Cry Wolf” Calls
Starting today, Maui County residents and businesses will now be required to register their alarm systems. For residential alarms, the initial registration cost is $25 with a $25 renewal fee every two years. Failure to register is a $50 fine. For business alarms, the initial registration cost is $50 with a $50 renewal fee every two years. Failure to register is a $100 fine.
