Mayor Alan Arakawa provides an update on bike path expansion and answers questions about the possibility of converting “rails-to-trails” in old Lahaina cane fields.

The plan includes a separated pedestrian and bicycle shared-use path linking Waikapu and Wailuku, as well as a network of separated bikeways and sidewalks in Kahului, and a landscaped pedestrian and bicycle esplanade along Kahului Beach Road, fronting the harbor.
