General Excise Taxpayers Required to File New Survey

With the suspension of numerous business related tax exemptions and deductions in the last legislative session, the Hawaii Department of Taxation announced yesterday the launch of a survey to monitor the effects of these changes.

Last week the Small Business & Entrepreneurship Council (SBE Council) published the “Business Tax Index 2011: Best to Worst State Tax Systems for Entrepreneurship and Small Business” and Hawaii ranked 43rd out of 51, including the District of Columbia.
