Testimony will be allowed relating to a witness account about a suicide threat by Steven Capobianco, who is standing trial for the murder of his pregnant ex-girlfriend Carly “Charli” Scott.

Taylor Farner, Capobianco’s ex-girlfriend testified that she dated the defendant for a two-to-three month period in 2013, prior to Charli Scott’s disappearance.

Day 18 included a full day of testimony from Brooke Scott, the oldest sister of Carly “Charli” Scott, who answered questions about the events that led up to her sister’s disappearance and the search that followed.

During testimony, Kimberlyn Scott described the events leading up to Charli’s disappearance, her daughter’s relationship with the defendant, as well as the tension that loomed as she questioned Capobianco about the last time her daughter was seen alive.

Witness, Max Jones offered his testimony on Wednesday about a gruesome discovery at Nuaʻailua Bay, where he had gone with two others on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, to search for Carly “Charli” Scott.

Judge Joseph Cardoza said he was satisfied that the statement relating to a polygraph test was given voluntarily by the defendant and said there was no need for a warning of Miranda Rights.
