Hawaiʻi Medical Service Association donates $1 million for UH health economic professorship
The Hawaiʻi Medical Service Association donated $1 million to establish the HMSA Distinguished Endowed Professorship in Health Economics at the University of Hawaiʻi Economic Research Organization. The endowment will support UHERO’s research in the area of health economics.
UH Mānoa Receives $3 Million Federal Grant for Safer School Reopening Pilot Project
The National Institutes of Health awarded nearly $3 million to the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa for expansion of the Pacific Alliance Against COVID-19 pilot project in Hawaiʻi schools with vulnerable and underserved communities. UH Survey: Hawaiʻi Restaurants Expect Massive Permanent Closures Without Quick Revival of Tourism
More than half of Hawaiʻi’s restaurants will be forced to permanently close by April 2021 if tourism does not significantly increase, according to a survey by the Public Policy Center at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.
