Although there is a drop in the latest weekly count, the number of “active” cases statewide is 15,826, higher than last week’s total of 14,871 “active” cases statewide over two weeks. The number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 also increased from 162 on May 25 to 183 on June 1, 2022.

Of today’s 539 cases, there were 529 cases identified as confirmed, and 10 probable cases were added to the count. The confirmed cases included: 368 on O‘ahu (+8 probable); 81 on Hawai‘i Island (-1 probable); 49 on Maui; 14 on Kaua‘i; Molokaʻi (+3 probable); and 17 in Hawai‘i residents diagnosed while out of state.
