Dec. 22-28, 2022 COVID-19 update: 3 deaths, 1,095 new infections in Hawaiʻi

The Hawaiʻi State Department of Health reported 1,095 new COVID-19 cases for the week of Dec. 22-28, 2022. There were three COVID-19 deaths this week.

The Hawaiʻi State Department of Health reported 3,689 new COVID-19 cases for the week of July 28-Aug. 3, 2022, which is 386 less cases than the previous week.

June 30-July 6, 2022 COVID-19 update: 20 deaths, 4,381 new infections in Hawaiʻi

The Hawaiʻi State Department of Health reported 4,381 new COVID-19 cases for the week of June 30 to July 6, 2022, which is 981 fewer cases than the previous week. There were 20 deaths.

Of today’s 345 cases, there are 295 cases identified as confirmed, and 50 probable cases were added to the count.  The confirmed cases included: 197 on O‘ahu (+32 probable); 30 on Hawai‘i Island (+14 probable); 29 on Maui (+5 probable); 18 on Kaua‘i; 1 on Molokaʻi (-1 probable); one on Lānaʻi; and 19 Hawai‘i resident diagnosed while out of state.

As of 9 a.m. on Feb. 9, 2022, the latest data available, there are 22 people hospitalized in Maui County with COVID-19, dropping below both the 41 reported during the height of the delta surge in August 2021, and the previous omicron high of 56 reported on Jan. 28, 2022.  This includes nine vaccinated (including one boosted), and 13 unvaccinated. Of the 22 COVID-19 hospitalizations, two are in the ICU (both unvaccinated), and one is on a ventilator (unvaccinated).
