Nov. 30, 2021 COVID-19 Update: 79 New Cases

Of today’s 79 cases, there were 66 cases identified as confirmed, and +13 probable cases were added to the count.  The confirmed cases included: 23 on O‘ahu (+13 probable); two on Hawai‘i Island; 12 on Maui (-1 probable); 25 on Kaua‘i (+1 probable); and four Hawai‘i residents diagnosed while out of state.

Nov. 28, 2021 COVID-19 Update: 169 New Cases, 3 Deaths

Of today’s 169 cases, there were 119 cases identified as confirmed, and +50 probable cases were added to the count.  The confirmed cases included: 66 on O‘ahu (+41 probable); 13 on Hawai‘i Island (+9 probable); 12 on Maui (-2 probable); eight on Kaua‘i (+2 probable); and 20 Hawai‘i residents diagnosed while out of state.

Nov. 26, 2021 COVID-19 Update: 27 New Cases, 1 Death

In Maui County, the seven day average for new cases daily is 14, with a 1.6% test positivity rate over 14 days. This is +8% from Nov. 11 to Nov. 24, 2021. For every 100,000 residents in Maui County, there have been an average of 8.6 newly reported cases per day over the last seven days.

Nov. 19, 2021 COVID-19 Update: 206 New Cases, 6 Deaths

There were 206 additional COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i on Friday. Today’s COVID-19 case count includes approximately 40 backlogged cases involving testing providers that recently began providing data to DOH’s electronic lab reporting system. DOH expects additional backlogged cases to be reported in the next few weeks.

Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine Authorized for Children Ages 5-11

The Hawai‘i Department of Health is authorizing certified vaccination providers to administer Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine for children age 5-11 immediately. This authorization is consistent with recommendations made by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Tuesday.
