The outage occurred this morning after crews conducted a monthly test of emergency generators at the airport. When bringing the power back online, DOT officials said, not all of the power was restored, with outages affecting the Interisland Terminal.

Motorists who utilize the Honoapiilani Highway for their commute have likely noticed roadwork on the mauka side of the highway, in the area between Papalaua Wayside Park and Ukumehame Beach Park.

Starting March 5th, you have to prove four things: (1) your legal name, (2) your date of birth, (3) your social security number, (4) and your legal presence.

The plans ranged from $34 to $134 million with the least costly resulting up to a 10 week closure of the runway for wide body aircraft, and the most expensive requiring an EIS—but allowing for the continuance of wide body air traffic. The repairs, transportation officials say, are needed to address decades of asphalt overlay, and an increased presence of foreign object debris.

The Kahului Airport parking fee will go up by $1, from the current $9 rate, to $10 per day on May 1st.
