Maui County mayoral candidate Yuki Lei Sugimura announced that she has earned the endorsement of the State of Hawaiʻi Organization of Police Officers (SHOPO), the union representing officers of the Maui County Police Department.
Maui Police Department promotes 12 to rank of Sergeant
The Maui Police Department announced the recent promotions of 12 officers to the rank of Sergeant, which took effect Aug. 1, 2024. The promotions include: Wilfred Ahuna, Kenneth Carroll, Kunal Chopra, Daniel Devine, David Jakubczak, Erik Matsuo, Alika Mullen, Kawika Ornellas, Alvin Ota, Jeffrey Platt, Corey Tom and Nolan Wada.
