Today’s guest is Dr. David Ulin, Chief Medical Director at Maui Health.  In his interview, Dr. Ulin discussed antibody testing, new requirements for the public to wear cloth masks at the hospital and ways to keep kids entertained and hone new skills.

Dr. David Ulin, Chief Medical Director at Maui Health discussed differences between rapid testing and testing conducted at pop-up drive-through test sites, mask usage, how many COVID-19 positive cases have since recovered, and if the virus can survive in ocean waters where people surf and swim.

More than 150 volunteer physicians, staff, and family members continued a 12-year tradition of giving back on Martin Luther King Jr. Day by participating in the Kaiser Permanente Hawaiʻi Annual Day of Service on Maui.

“It is near impossible to simply reverse course; this will lead to drastic gaps in coverage with no capacity to fill,” said MMMC Chief of Staff Dr. Ron Boyd.

Kaiser today appointed Ray Hahn and Dr. David Ulin, MD to oversee care delivery operations at all three Maui facilities: Kula Hospital & Clinic, Lānaʻi Community Hospital and Maui Memorial Medical Center.
