Oʻahu’s Duke Kahanamoku Beach, and Maui’s Wailea Beach, were ranked No. 5 and No. 8 respectively in the 2022 ranking.

Hāpuna Beach State Park was awarded the number one spot for the best beaches in America.

Maui’s Kapalua Bay Beach in West Maui earned the number 2 spot on Dr. Stephen P Leatherman’s 27th Annual Top 10 Beach List.

Maui’s Hāmoa Beach in the remote east end of the island has once again claimed a spot on the top 10 Best Beaches in America list compiled by Dr. Stephen P. Leatherman, a professor at Florida International University.

Hāmoa Beach in East Maui was ranked fifth this year and has appeared on the list multiple times. Other Maui County beaches that are former winners include: Wailea Beach; Fleming Park Beach; Kāʻanapali; Kapalua Bay Beach; and Hulopoʻe Beach on Lānaʻi.

Kahanamoku Beach in Waikīkī on Oʻahu took 2nd and Hāmoa Beach in the East Maui town of Hāna was 4th in the annual ranking.

Kauais Hanalei Bay was named the number 1 beach in the annual list released by Florida professor Stephen P. Leatherman, also known as Dr. Beach.
