Visitor Pulled From Water on Lana’i

Bystanders say that the man dove into the water from the shoreline and struck his head on the ocean bottom. When the patient did not surface, bystanders went into the water and pulled him to the shoreline

The body of a 45-year-old local man was pulled from waters off of Lana’i on Saturday, June 9, 2012. Authorities say the incident was reported at 4:09 p.m. in waters fronting Hulopoe Beach.
