Maui Police officers honored by MADD Hawaiʻi for impaired driving prevention

Three Maui Police Department officers were recognized this past weekend by Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Hawaiʻi for their outstanding efforts to prevent impaired driving and keep island roadways safe.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving Hawaiʻi together with Maui Toyota will honor Maui County police officers for their efforts in preventing impaired driving and reducing underage drinking, officials announced.

60 DUI Arrests During Impaired Driving Crackdown

“We hope that people get the message that we are taking a zero tolerance on impaired driving and those that fail to adhere to it will be arrested,” said Maui Police Lieutenant Ricky Uedoi.
