Kahului Wastewater Facility Focus of Mayor’s TV Show

Maui’s New Environmental Management Director Sworn-In

Cochran Backs Zero Waste Policy Proposed for Maui

Committee Chair Elle Cochran called the zero waste policy “a sustainable approach to waste management,” saying the policy, if adopted, would result in all products being reused instead of being sent to landfills and incinerators.

BRIEF: 4,000 Maui Residential Refuse Accounts Past Due

Final notices were mailed out, with a due date of January 25, 2013. County officials say all accounts that remain unpaid after the deadline will be closed, and a $30 fee will be charged to re-open an account.

Wailuku-Kahului Wastewater Shoreline Protection

The original revetment was constructed in 1979 at the recommendation of the Army Corps of Engineers to protect the facility.
