Regents approve naming UH Mānoa building after “First Lady of Limu”

The University of Hawaiʻi Board of Regents voted unanimously to approve the renaming of the UH Mānoa Life Sciences Building after Isabella Aiona Abbott, affectionately known as the “First Lady of Limu.”  The approval came at a meeting on Jan. 19, 2023, following a groundswell of support from the campus community.

Garden Docents Sought at Maui Nui Botanical Gardens

Maui Nui Botanical Gardens is recruiting new docent trainees to help lead ethnobotany tours for tourists, visiting schools and community groups.
