HDOT’s wildfire efforts are heavily focused on vegetation management based on priorities received from county fire departments and creation/maintenance of evacuation routes in vulnerable communities.
Maui firefighters respond to blaze at Puamana
(2:20 p.m. Update 9/3/10) Maui firefighters are battling a brush fire reported at around 1 p.m. this afternoon in Puamana.
