A badge-pinning ceremony was held Thursday at the Kahului Fire Station for Maui’s new Fire Chief Brad Ventura and Deputy Fire Chief Gavin Fujioka.

Brad Ventura was sworn into office as the Maui Department of Fire and Public Safety’s new Chief, and Gavin Fujioka was sworn in a as Deputy Chief today during a ceremony hosted by Maui Mayor Michael Victorino today.
Three on Maui Promoted to Firefighter III
The list includes firefighters Kaleo Kealoha, Patrick Fukuda, and Gavin Fujioka. “We are proud of the fact that we have personnel in place to make us a better department and allow us to serve better the community in which we live in and give them the chance to advance in their careers,” said Maui Fire Services Chief Lee Mainaga.
