Grab-and-Go School Meal Service Off On Good Friday Holiday, April 10
The Hawaiʻi Department of Education’s Grab-and-Go school meal service will be off on the Good Friday holiday, April 10, 2020. Service will resume on Monday, April 13, with breakfast and lunch for children 18 and younger.
46,000 DOE Grab-and-Go Meals Distributed Statewide; Privately Funded Site in South Maui Offered Today Only
A privately funded temporary grab-and-go site is set up for those in South Maui, today only, at Hope Chapel in Kīhei. The site is organized by Ka ‘Ohana Carter and a Kihei ‘Ohana to supplement planned DOE service that is delayed at Lokelani Intermediate School due to an electrical problem.
UPDATE: Lokelani Intermediate to Join List of Grab-and-Go Meal Sites on WEDNESDAY
HIDOE Grab-and-Go meal service at Lokelani Intermediate will start on Wednesday, April 1 instead of Tuesday as previously announced. Work is still being completed to repair an electrical issue in the kitchen area of the cafeteria.
Grab-and-Go Meal Sites for Kids During COVID-19 Extended Spring Break
The Hawaiʻi State Department of Education will be implementing the Seamless Summer Option program a few months earlier than scheduled, as approved by the United States Department of Agriculture and Hawaiʻi Child Nutrition Programs.
