A 26-year-old Haʻikū man suffered critical injuries in a single-vehicle crash when he lost control of the vehicle he was operating, failed to negotiate a turn, and collided into a tree on West Kuiaha Road on Sunday afternoon, police said.

The involvement of speed is suspected as a factor in a single-car crash along the Hāna Highway in Haʻikū on Monday night that left one man hospitalized with critical life-threatening injuries, police said.
