Hawaiʻi actor Kaipo Dudoit brings island charm to Disney’s live-action ‘Lilo & Stitch’

Several Hawaiʻi-born actors are hitting the big screen in the live-action “Lilo & Stitch” when it opens in theaters this Friday, May 23. Among them is Kaipo Dudoit of Oʻahu who plays the role of David Kawena.

Hawaiian Airlines May Day 2024 presented by Mele continues the annual Lei Day tradition by the Brothers Cazimero with Keauhou, the 19-time Nā Hōkū Hanohano award-winning group, returning to headline the concert experience alongside special guests, including Maui’s own Kamalei Kawaʻa, Robert Cazimero and Hālau Nā Kamalei o Līlīlehua.

Liam Moleta of Oʻahu wins 21st Richard Hoʻopiʻi Leo Kiʻekiʻe Falsetto contest on Maui

Liam Moleta of Oʻahu earned this year’s title for his performance of “Aloha Nō Kahului.” Also competing were Tevita Lisiate Apina-Pacheco from Waiʻanae, O‘ahu, Antonio Robles of Wailuku, Maui, and Via Tiumalu Jr from Kīhei, Maui.

Maui lei festival part of May Day, Sunday

A statewide telecast from Oʻahu as well as live festivities on Maui will take place to celebrate the annual Hawaiʻi “May Day” with lei day celebration.
