The following video features some of the highlights from Halloween in Lahaina, 2011.

During a pre-event interview this morning, Mayor Alan Arakawa said, “I’m anticipating this may be one of the more popular events and one of the better attended events.”

“FACT: No one can ban Halloween on Front Street or anywhere else; it’s against our American constitution.”

Mayor Arakawa: “It’s not only good for tourism and good for the economics, it’s also good for our community to be able to understand the Hawaiian culture; and we’re working very hard to try and do that. That should not be lost in the discussion of the Halloween parade.”
