The funding includes more than $52,000 for the Community Clinic of Maui in Wailuku; and around $42,000 each for the Hāna Community Health Center, the Lānaʻi Community Health Center and Molokaʻi ʻOhana Health Care.

The funding release includes a total of more than $280,000 in federal grants for four health centers in Maui County including the Mālama I Ke Ola Community Clinic of Maui in Wailuku, and the Hāna Community Health Center in East Mau.

The funds are made available through the federal Affordable Care Act. There are a total of 14 health centers in Hawaiʻi that provide care to an estimated 144,427 individuals, according to Health and Human Service officials.

For the neighbor islands, there were a total of 7 injuries, the lowest combined total for recorded to date. The breakdown included four injuries on Kauai, 2 in Hawaii County and 4 injuries in Maui County.
