The Hawaiʻi State Department of Health and the Hawaiʻi State Department of Human Services are strengthening coordination between the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children, to help more families access nutritious food and vital health supports.
Hawaiʻi’s Emergency Food Assistance Program launches ahead of schedule
Gov. Josh Green and the Hawaiʻi Department of Human Services have announced that SNAP recipients should be able to spend the additional $250 in relief funds beginning Nov. 10, four full days earlier than anticipated. Recipients should be able to see the extra $250 in their accounts now, as a pending benefit.
