Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park reopened over the weekend on Saturday, September 22 after closing May 11 from unprecedented volcanic activity that damaged park infrastructure.

State Reopens Most Parks and Trails, Urges Caution

  At noon today, DLNR Division of Forestry and Wildlife (DOFAW) reopened most lands under its jurisdiction to the public following the threat of Hurricane/Tropical Storm Lane.
