MAUI CLOSURE UPDATES: What’s Open & Closed Due to Kilo

Due to the heavy rains and inclement weather, there are several closures in effect for Maui County today.

WET WEATHER UPDATES: Flood Watch Extended to 6 p.m. Tuesday

The National Weather Service has extended a Flash Flood Warning for the island of Maui until 1 p.m. At 9:44 a.m., radar showed that heavy rainfall had diminished, but runoff remained high, and flooding conditions were ongoing.

Authorities with the Hawaiʻi Emergency Management Agency say the storm’s strength and track is highly uncertain at this time, but forecasts from the National Weather Service show a potential impact to the state sometime early next week.
