The “Mask Up for Maui County” initiative enlists the help of volunteers to serve as community ambassadors. The volunteers are tasked with reminding visitors and residents that wearing face masks is mandatory throughout Maui County.

The County announced an end to the Fourth Friday Town Party in Paia, and has decided to open dialogue with Kihei instead. Officials said the county could not overcome the traffic and safety issues associated with the Paia event.
