Governor-elect Josh Green travels to Japan to promote travel between Japan and Hawaiʻi

Governor-elect Josh Green and his wife Jaime Green were scheduled to depart for Japan on Friday, Nov. 11, 2022, to meet with government officials and travel industry partners to promote travel and business between Hawaiʻi and Japan.  

Maui Visitor Spending Grows, Arrivals Flat

Total expenditures by Maui visitors in the first nine months of 2011 increased by 15.1%, compared to the same period last year, to $2,370.5 million, according to preliminary statistics released today by the Hawaii Tourism Authority.

Despite August Drop, Visitors Up for Year

Despite drop for August, the Hawaii Tourism Authority has released figures indicating that total arrivals and spending for all of 2011 to date remains up over 2010.

State Predicts Slow Growth and 3% Inflation

Down 0.3% from the 1.6% growth, the Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism released its 3rd quarter forecast with slow growth for the rest of 2011.
