Gov. Green teams up with Ulupono Initiative to boost Hawaiʻi’s access to federal funds

Gov. Josh Green, M.D., is partnering with the Ulupono Initiative as part of the Governor’s “Investing in Hawai‘i’s Future,” a collaboration between federal, state, and community partners to maximize federal funding for the state. The new partnership will provide tailored technical assistance to state departments and agencies to strengthen their ability to apply for and secure federal awards.

In Hilo, Senator Hirono Meets with Lahainaluna Students, Visits Local Businesses, and Tours Puainako Repaving Project

US Sen. Mazie K. Hirono (D-HI) spent the day in Hilo, where she met with Lahainaluna students participating in the 61stAnnual Merrie Monarch Festival, toured small businesses participating in this year’s 8th Hawaiʻi on the Hill, and viewed the Puainako Paving Project at Waiākea Intermediate School.

Hawai‘i will receive $5.6 million in new federal funding from the US Department of Commerce to expand high-speed internet access in unserved and underserved communities.
