Pig farmers joined police this morning in capturing a wild boar found roaming a Kāʻanapali Hillside neighborhood.

Flames came to within 50 feet of one home. Crews will be patrolling the fire area throughout today to search for any hot spots that may have gone undetected.

An eight-week sealcoating project in the Puʻukoliʻi area of West Maui is slated to start on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, and continue through the end of February, 2014.

Authorities say the group was overpowered by strong winds that pushed them about a quarter mile offshore at around 1:50 on Tuesday afternoon.
