The Kahoʻolawe Island Reserve Commission has announced permitted trolling dates for December including: Dec. 2-3 and 16-17. All vessels must register annually with the KIRC before entering the Reserve to troll during designated trolling dates.

Hawai ‘i Administrative Rules (HAR 13-261) require that all vessels must register annually with the KIRC before entering the reserve to troll during designated trolling dates.

Access to the Kahoʻolawe Island Reserve waters is highly restricted because of the continued presence of unexploded ordnance, as well as for the protection of marine resources within the Reserve.

Access to the Kaho’olawe Island Reserve waters is highly restricted; however, during two scheduled weekends each month, limited trolling is allowed.

During two scheduled weekends each month, limited trolling is allowed in Reserve waters deeper than 30 fathoms for vessels permitted by the KIRC.

Trolling for permitted boats is open July 9, 10, 23 and 24 from 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 11:59 p.m. Sunday.

Trolling will allowed for permitted vessels between 12:01 a.m. on Saturday and 11:59 p.m. on Sunday for May 7-8 and May 21-22.

Trolling will be permitted Jan. 23 and 24; Feb. 6, 7, 27 and 28 | (12:01 a.m. Saturday to 11:59 p.m. Sunday).

The Kahoʻolawe Island Reserve Commission has announced the trolling schedule for permitted vessels only for August 2015. The schedule includes permitted trolling from Aug. 1-2 and 15-16, between 12:01 a.m. on Saturday and 11:59 p.m. on Sunday.

Registration has started for vessel operators seeking permits to troll waters around Kahoʻolawe during two weekends in October.
