East Maui Taro Festival Awarded OHA ‘Ahahui Grant

The East Maui Taro Festival has been awarded a $7,000 grant from the Office of Hawaiian Affairs to hold the 27th Annual East Maui Taro Festival on April 13.

“All these areas were populated in taro from Hāna to Keʻanae and Wailuanui. Today we see less,” said Hoshino. “Everything precious to us from wai (water) to ʻāina (land) to ocean because that’s our connection.”

24th East Maui Taro Festival Receives OHA Grant

The Office of Hawaiian Affairs has awarded a $ 7,000 grant to the East Maui Taro Festival to support its annual event held in Hāna, Maui.
