Hawaiʻi is now at the center of a global “biobanking” network that will collect and store biological samples of endangered species for wildlife conservation purposes.

Hawaiian Airlines is marking the launch of its new program in partnership with Conservation International by matching all guest offsets during April – in recognition of Earth Day later this month – and committing to offsetting all future employee business travel on Hawaiian’s flights.

A bill that that was passed in the Hawaiʻi legislature this session is among the first in the nation to explore the concept of universal basic income.
