Badge Used by Suspect in Deadly Shootout Was Fake
Maui police today released a photo of the actual badge that Raymond Hodge used during a deadly shootout with police at Keōpūolani Park in Wailuku on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2015, and have since confirmed the item was a fake.
Man Killed in Keōpūolani Shootout Identified
The deceased in the incident at Keōpūolani Park on Wednesday, Aug. 5,2015 has been identified as Raymond Hodge, a 39 year old male.

Police, who have yet to release the suspects name, say the 39-year-old man with no local address, was shot multiple times by officers. During an initial investigation police recovered over 50 shell casings, nine of them from the perpetrator. Police say the man sustained an estimated 11 gun shot wounds that were located on various parts of his body from his legs to the top of his torso.
