Fuel services at Lahaina Small Boat Harbor being restored following fire; other projects outlined

The DLNR Division of Boating and Ocean Recreation fuel system vendor for Lahaina Small Boat Harbor, is in the process of rebuilding the fire-damaged, above-ground portion of the fueling system at no cost to the state. It will probably three years before everything is finished. Until the harbor is out of the restricted zone, no one can reach it by land.

Rep. McKelvey: Lahaina Harbor Dredging Approved

State Rep. Angus McKelvey says maintenance dredging of Lahaina Harbor has been approved and is moving forward with expected completion by the end of the year.

State Hosts Meeting on Lahaina Ferry Improvements

The scope of the project was reduced to address public comments and includes the elimination of original plans to widen the harbor basin through dredging and a reduction in the width of the new interisland ferry pier.

West Maui Legislators Host Town Hall Meeting

Updates will be provided on ocean safety issues, the status of dredging at the Lahaina Harbor, and plans to expand the swim area at Hanakao’o Beach.

Public Discussion on Lahaina Small Boat Harbor Dredging

State Senator Roz Baker, Representative Angus McKelvey, and the State Department of Land and Natural Resources, Division of Boating and Ocean Recreation will host the meeting, set for 2 p.m. at the Pioneer Inn Courtyard in Lahaina.
