DOH partners with community to improve medical air access to Molokaʻi and Lānaʻi
The Hawaiʻi State Department of Health has issued Notices of Award for the Essential Rural Medical Air Transport (ERMAT) Pilot Program to Pūlama Ka Heke, a Moloka‘i-based nonprofit healthcare hui, and to a partnership between Pūlama Ka Heke and Lānaʻi Kinā‘ole, a home healthcare agency, for the island of Lānaʻi.
Schatz secures more than $1M in earmark funding to build first ever adult day care center on Lānaʻi
“Too many seniors on Lānaʻi are being forced to move away from their homes and off island just to get the care they need,” said Sen. Schatz. “This new funding will help build Lānaʻi’s first ever adult day care center, giving seniors a much-needed option for care, while keeping families together.”
