Wind Advisory Extended For Maui County

Officials say residents should expect 20 to 30 mph northeasterly winds with localized gusts over 45 mph.

The National Weather Service has extended a wind advisory for central and west Maui, Lānaʻi and Kahoolawe, in effect until 6 p.m. Sunday.

Northeast winds are forecasted to reach 20 to 35 mph with localized gusts over 45 mph.

Blustery Winds, High Surf Expected for Maui County

Motorists are urged to drive with caution. Officials are advising inexperienced swimmers to remain off beaches and beachfront areas.
