ʻUlu Trees Available at Farm-to-School Month Celebration
October marks Hawaiʻi’s first statewide Farm-to-School Month, and community groups Grow Some Good and Maui School Garden Networks are holding a special event at the Lipoa Street Farmer’s Market in Kihei on Saturday, Oct. 31 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. ʻUlu trees and vegetable starts will be available, thanks to local students.
“County on Your Corner” in Kihei this Saturday
The event will be held this Saturday, March 9, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Lipoa Street Farmer’s Market in South Maui. This month’s event features information on the Fire Prevention Bureau’s Smoke Alarm Maui program, which offers free smoke detectors to county residents.
