A no contest plea was entered in court on Thursday by retired car dealer James Pflueger, to a reduced charge of reckless endangering, in connection with the 2006 Ka Loko dam breach on Kauaʻi that killed seven people.

Police arrested Ezekiel Wakinekona of Kameula on suspicion of abuse of a household member. The arrest stems from a report on Friday, January 13, of a 3-year-old girl who was found at home unconscious with labored breathing.
