Sen. Angus Mckelvey thanks governor for release of funds to improve Māla Wharf and boat ramp

Sen. Angus L.K. McKelvey (District 6 – West Maui, Māʻalaea, Waikapū, South Maui) thanked Gov. Josh Green for releasing $3,2000,000 in capital improvement project funds to finance improvements at Māla Wharf and Ramp in West Maui, including resurfacing of the roadway and parking areas, drainage and comfort station improvements, and new lighting.

Commercial Boating Operators Invited to Maui Hearing

The hearings will focus on rule amendments to bring parity to all catamaran registration certificate holders; and streamline commercial use permit fees, and requirements for commercial operations in all state waters.

Trolling Kaho’olawe Waters Allowed in December

The Kahoolawe Island Reserve Commission is opening the Kahoolawe Island Reserve to fishing on two weekends in December as well as holding informational sessions for fishermen and interested parties.

Kahoolawe Opens This Weekend for Permitted Trolling

Kahoolawe Island Reserve waters will be open for trolling for permitted fishing vessels for two weekends this month, starting tomorrow, Saturday October 13.
