Lahaina Harbor hosts MIL surfing championships: ‘The first anything’ in burn zone since the fire

A total of 77 surfers — 36 girls, 41 boys from 11 Maui Interscholastic League schools — competed at Lahaina Harbor on Saturday in the first official event inside the burn zone created by the deadly wildfire on Aug. 8, 2023.
