Crews Respond to Structure Fire at Southpointe Condo
Maui fire crews are responding to a report of a structure fire at the Southpointe condominium complex in Kīhei. Initial reports indicate the fire is located in a shed at the back of Building 9.
Kaanapali Alii Condo Fire Forces Overnight Evacuation
The fire was reported at 2:52 a.m., on Wednesday, March 20, at the Kaanapali Alii condominium complex, located at 50 Nohea Kai Drive in West Maui, authorities said.

A fire at the Hale Kamaole condominium complex in South Maui caused an estimated $1.5 million in damage to the structure, and $120,000 to contents within, according to Maui Fire Department officials. After an investigation, Maui Fire Services Chief Lee Mainaga said the cause of the fire is being classified as “undetermined” pending any further information received. He noted that the fie was “unlikely intentional.”
