#maui garbage

Our neighbors have a large, open garbage bin/pit full of rotting food waste and trash that is attracting rats.

I am having an ongoing problem with vehicles being parked in front of my residence, interfering with my refuse collection. These vehicles are parked as close as two feet from the edge of my driveway, which does not provide enough area on the road shoulder to place my refuse container.

Baldwin Beach goers found an unhappy surprise this morning, Thursday, March 26. The usually pristine shoreline was littered with what looked like Japanese tsunami garbage.

My neighbor says she can put her automated trash cart anywhere she wants, and often puts it on my property near the road if I haven’t already put mine out. Is it true my neighbor can put her cart anywhere she wants, or only in front of her own house?
