Governor’s Statement on Veto Override of SB 2077

Governor Ige on Thursday night issued a statement in response to the legislative override of his earlier veto of Senate Bill 2077 relating to Maui hospitals.

Legislature Holds Special Session to Amend Maui Hospital Workers Bill

The recess will allow time to negotiate a possible settlement with the UPW in its lawsuit objecting to the transition. A final vote is expected on July 20.
