Crews are responding to a power outage affecting the west side of the island. Maui police say traffic lights are out from Launiupoko to Nāpili.

An estimated 3,750 customers in the Wailuku, Waiehu and Waiheʻe areas lost service when heavy equipment brought down overhead lines near Oma Oma St in Wailuku.

BRIEF: Electric Service Restored to Mahinahina and Kahana

Electrical service has been restored to customers in areas of Mahinahina and Kahana in West Maui. The outage was first reported at around 2:45 a.m. MECO officials say power was restored shortly before 5 a.m.
