Hawaiʻi has two of the top ten destinations for travelers this holiday, according to data collected from AAA Travel bookings.

Maui County did fairly well among the six categories: favorite Hawaiʻi beaches, restaurants, hotels, family attractions, tour companies and poke.

The publication highlighted Maui’s idyllic beaches, parks and east Maui’s Kaihalulu sands and Road to Hana, calling Maui “escapism at its finest.”

Maui is ranked number 2 on a top 10 list of domestic destinations being booked for 2016, according to the Travel Trends Survey released today by the Travel Leaders Group
