Curtis Quillin, 47, from Seminole, Oklahoma, died on Moloka‘i as a result of a kayaking accident on Jan. 10, 2016.

A Molokaʻi man has since died of injuries suffered in a single-vehicle collision reported in the Mauna Loa area of Molokaʻi last month. Maui police have since identified the man as Harry Shimizu, 86, of Molokaʻi.

Police say a preliminary investigation indicates that a van collided into the rear of a motorized scooter that the woman was driving, as both vehicles were headed east on Kamehameha V Highway at around 2:22 p.m. on Thursday, May 9.

Maui police have released further details in an ongoing murder investigation on Molokai following the shooting death of a woman at the Kawela Barns Apartments overnight.
