After five years away due to the pandemic and Maui wildfires, Montessori School of Maui is thrilled to announce the return of their tuition assistance fundraiser, Taste of Upcountry. This celebration of the bounty of Upcountry Maui will take place Saturday, Sept. 14, 6-10 p.m. The outdoor event, held under a glowing tent on the central lawn at the heart of the school’s Makawao campus, supports Montessori School of Maui’s Tuition Assistance Initiatives in an effort to make a Montessori Education more accessible, welcoming, and inclusive for our community.

Tickets are now on sale for Taste of Upcountry, a benefit celebration for the Montessori School of Maui. 

During February, a total of 225 students on Maui planted 317 federally threatened `āhinahina (silverswords) at the summit of Haleakalā as part of the Centennial celebrations.

Little Monk Seal Montessori will serve children ages 3 to 6 years old, offering an authentic, primary Montessori school curriculum.

This year, Montessori School of Maui students raised funds for the Boys and Girls Club of Maui and Leilani Farm Sanctuary through a fundraiser at Flatbread Company in Pāʻia and a Walk-a-Thon on the Montessori School of Maui campus.

Seven Montessori School of Maui students in grades six to eight have been participating in an ongoing scientific study.

The visit to Montessori School of Maui comes ahead of the Starboard Severne Aloha Classic that gets underway next week at Hoʻokipa Beach Park, a place often referred to as the Mecca of Windsurfing.
